The manual control units for Dal Degan sprayers are hydraulic control groups that regulate the operation of atomizers, mist blowers, tank units and weeding machines in manual management configurations. They represent the ideal solution for farms seeking a simple, reliable and easy-to-maintain system, while maintaining precise control of pressure and product distribution.
Installed between the diaphragm pump and the machine’s delivery circuit, the manual control units allow you to regulate working pressure, open and close individual distribution sections and control the general activation of the system. Thanks to constant pressure operation, they ensure uniform treatment even when one or more sections of the boom or spraying system are closed.
These control groups represent a particularly appreciated choice for cereal farms, multifunctional farms, advanced hobbyists and agricultural operators who do not yet require electronic systems for precision agriculture. At the same time, they constitute an ideal base for future upgrades to electric distributors and on-board computers.
Main Functions of Manual Control Units
Each sprayer control unit integrates all the functions necessary for treatment management in a single body.
Pressure regulation is performed via a knob or handwheel that allows you to set the desired value according to the type of crop, installed nozzles and forward speed. An integrated pressure gauge allows immediate monitoring of the actual pressure delivered, ensuring correct distribution of the plant protection product.
The main ON/OFF lever allows you to quickly interrupt treatment during headland maneuvers, transfers and machine start or stop operations. In more advanced models, there is also a pressure relief function, which reduces stress on the pump and increases system durability.
Work sections can be controlled individually via dedicated valves, allowing treatment to be adapted to field geometry, operating widths and specific crop requirements. In models equipped with an anti-drip system, closing sections prevents product loss and localized overdosing.
On-Board Control Units and In-Cab Control Units
Dal Degan offers two main configurations.
On-board control units are installed directly on the pump or delivery circuit and represent the simplest and most economical solution. The most common models include Comet SIRIUS, Comet HYDRA and Tecomec ALFA control units, appreciated for their robustness, simplicity and reliability.
Remote in-cab control units allow you to regulate pressure and sections without leaving the tractor. They are particularly suitable for vineyards, orchards and applications requiring frequent operational changes during work. This category includes models such as Comet GCP 3V and Braglia M170.
Materials and Reliability
All manual control units used by Dal Degan are constructed with corrosion-resistant materials, including brass, anodized aluminum and high-strength technopolymers compatible with plant protection products. The widespread availability of spare parts and service ensures long-term reliability and ease of maintenance.
Ready for Future Upgrades
An important advantage of Dal Degan manual control units is the possibility of subsequently evolving to more advanced electronic systems. The machines can in fact be equipped at a later time with DPM electric distributors, in-cab control panels or ARAG Bravo 180S and Bravo 400S on-board computers, without having to replace the pump or modify the main hydraulic structure.
This modularity allows the farm to start with a limited investment and progressively adopt precision agriculture technologies, keeping the same machine and simply upgrading its control system.
