IDS 1000 is the high-pressure diaphragm pump from Comet’s IDS series, the top of the range for professional atomizers. The construction feature that distinguishes the IDS from the APS series is the material of the parts in contact with the liquid: brass instead of anodized aluminum. It is a crucial technical choice for those treating crops such as vineyards, olive groves, and orchards, where the pesticides used (particularly copper sulfate and generally products containing mineral crystals) have significant mechanical abrasiveness. Brass resists crystalline abrasion much better than aluminum, significantly extending the pump’s service life during prolonged seasonal cycles.
The pump features a three-diaphragm NBR configuration (Desmopan® and Viton on request), with pressure accumulator and safety valve as standard. The 1″3/8 male-male through-shaft allows for maximum versatility when coupling to the tractor’s PTO. The valves are made of stainless steel.
