IDS 1501 is the absolute top of the range in Comet’s IDS series, designed for large professional atomizers intended for structured wine, fruit, and olive growing operations. It combines all the excellence features of the IDS series — brass wetted parts for resistance to crystalline abrasion typical of copper sulfate and mineral products — with the four-diaphragm configuration that ensures maximum delivery smoothness and the longest diaphragm service life available in the range.
The pump features a four-diaphragm NBR configuration (Desmopan® and Viton available on request), with side pressure accumulator as standard (technical configuration that optimizes air chamber operation compared to front accumulators) and safety valve as standard. The 1″3/8 male-male through shaft allows maximum versatility for coupling to the tractor’s PTO.
The suction fitting is 45 mm and is also entirely made of brass — a significant construction detail because the suction fitting is one of the most stressed points in the hydraulic circuit, where the combination of flow velocity and presence of crystalline particulate can accelerate wear in pumps with fittings made of less noble materials.
